THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- Anything you want for the day on Friday, June 5 needs to be in your carry-on bag when we depart. The bus luggage compartment will not be opened up after our departure on Thursday evening.
- Each 4-H=er can bring one carry-on bag and one suitcase of any size. Be able to carry all your things at one time including the items that you purchase while on the trip.
- A 6 pack of pop, juice or water to be put in the luggage compartment. Each
person can put two drinks in an ice cooler at a time. Please have the individual cans/bottles marked with your name USING A PERMANENT MARKER and securely held together in a plastic bag.
- All committee responsibilities should be put into your black UNL folder and kept in your carry-on bag.
- I suggest that everyone bring a pillow and blanket on the bus, as the temperature is hard to predict.
- Arrive at your assigned departure locations 30 minutes early. A sponsor will be distributing luggage tags prior to departing. (One tag for your carry-on and one tag for your suitcase.)
- Spending money - Do not carry a lot of cash at one time and do not bring unnecessary credit cards. (You should not need more than $100 cash at one time.)
- You may bring DVD=s with you on the trip. I want them to be rated PG or pretty clean R movies. The sponsors will have the right not to view those movies they feel are inappropriate. Be sure you put your name on the case as well as the DVD. DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BRINGING INAPPROPRIATE MOVIES OF ANY KIND ONTO THE BUS. YES, THIS MEANS WE WILL BE WATCHING MANY DISNEY MOVIES DURING THE TRIP. THINK FUN!!!
- The trip t-shirts that each participant will receive will be distributed when you board and will need to be slipped into your large suitcase your put into your carry-on bag.
- Do not forget to pack your "trade items" pins that you received at our April meeting. You will want to have these at the National 4-H Center.
- If you have further questions, please call me on my cell phone as I am only in the office for short periods of time this next week.
